I build vintage bikes using old Schwinn parts, motorcycle parts and modern bike parts.
It’s my attempt to capture the 1950’s and 60’s chopper style with a bicycle.
If they look a little rusty, it’s from being on the beach. I build them to ride, not to show.
I built this one for Lee Clow.
Clow's Bike
He parks it in front of his office.
Outlaw
This one has Harley-style ape hanger handle bars and a springer front end. It's modeled after the 60's style chopper.
Pink Pig
This is the first custom bike I did. It's got a motorcycle front fork and drum brake. It weighs a ton, but it glides like a dream.
I painted it pink just to piss people off.
Urban Assault
This is a modern street bike. The frame is a 1952 Schwinn Black Phantom mated to a downhill mountain bike fork with a disc brake up front and a 3-speed hub in the back. This bike can be ridden up and down stairs.
Rat Rod
This is a 1938 Colson done up like a 1950's rockabilly hot rod motorcycle. It's so ugly it's beautiful.
1939 Schwinn DX
This bike is all original. It took years to track down all the right pieces. If I could only have one bicycle, it would be this one.
Siltanen's Bike
I built a pair of bikes for Rob Siltanen. He keeps them parked in the entryway of his agency.
They are a symbol of the fun California lifestyle.
This is just a sample of the bikes I build and restore. I have a garage full of projects waiting to roll down the strand.
